News from the SCAS Community



Johanna Annala, Alexandra Urakova and their colleagues have received funding
from
the Kone Foundation for their interdisciplinary research project (Un)making
Knowledge: Students’ Relationship with Knowledge from Modernity to AI. Also
Linn Holmberg will be one of the collaborators in the project.
Annala and Urakova were Fellows at the Collegium in the
academic year 2020-21
and the project has its roots in their time in residence.
Also Holmberg, who is a
Pro Futura Fellow, was in residence that year
(as well as in the autumn of 2024).

the academic year 2024-25..

Valbona Muzaka has been promoted to Professor of Economic History
at the Department of
Economic History at Uppsala University.
Valbona Muzaka was a Global Horizons Senior Fellow at the Collegium in
the academic year 2022-23.

Karolina Watroba's book Metamorphoses: In Search of Franz Kafka (London:
Profile, 2024) has been named one of the best books of 2024 by the Economist
Her essay ‘Mann and the Main Man – The Magic Mountain at 100: A Century of
Literary Rivalries’ appeared in the Times Literary Supplement on 29 November
2024.
Karolina Watroba is a Fellow at SCAS in the academic
year 2024-25.
