Session Information

NEW!! Download the complete Programme Book.pdf here.

During each afternoon of the congress, a large number of parallel regular and special sessions will be held. Each session is 90 minutes long and consists of an oral presentation of 4 to 6 papers. Information about the approved regular sessions has been posted on the congress web site.

Session conveners are expected to administer (take in abstracts and select the most appropriate papers to be presented in their session) as well as to chair their session at the congress.
Interested participants should contact the session convener directly with an abstract. The session convener will then take in all submissions and choose the best 4 to 6 papers to be presented (along with at least 2 reserve papers).
Authors of accepted abstracts of papers will be notified by April 7, 2009.
N.B.! Session conveners must register by April 15, 2009.

HOW DO I SUBMIT A PAPER PROPOSAL?
Please choose a regular or special session of your interest and click on the session title for more information. In the pdf document, you’ll find the session convener’s email address. Please use this address to get in touch with the convener.
Please Note!
You are welcome to submit papers to more than one session. However, please note that you cannot submit the same paper twice.

After March 31, any late submissions of abstracts should be sent directly to iis2009@iisoc.org.
Late abstracts, as well as abstracts dealing with interdisciplinary and interthematic subjects that do not fit in any of the sessions may be placed in one of the General Sessions.

Please contact iis2009@iisoc.org if you have any questions.
